- This is an ear medicine that combines an antibiotic, an antifungal, and a steroid. It is used to treat outer ear infections in dogs.
- Your veterinary clinic gives this medicine as one one-time treatment.
- After it is placed in the ear, it keeps working for 33 days. During these 33 days, do not clean your pet’s ear(s).
- Side effects that may happen include throwing up, eating less, and scratching/itching.

Description
This is a combination ear drop.
- Gentamicin is an antibiotic, meaning it helps treat infections caused by bacteria.
- Posaconazole is an antifungal, meaning it helps treat yeast infections.
- Mometasone is a steroid, meaning it helps reduce swelling and irritation.

Uses
Approved uses in animals:
- Used to treat outer ear infections in dogs when the infection is caused by bacteria and yeast.
Your veterinarian may also choose to use this medicine in other animal species or for other purposes.
Before this medication is given
No medicine is completely safe for every patient. Talk with your veterinarian about:
- Any medicines or supplements your animal is currently receiving
- Any health problems your animal has now, or has had before
- Any past bad reactions your animal has had to medicines
- The possible risks of using this medicine if your animal is pregnant or nursing
Also tell your veterinarian if your animal is going to have allergy testing.
Warnings for animals
Some medicines are not permitted in certain animal competitions. If your animal competes, check the rules while your animal is on this medicine.
Do not use this medicine in:
- Animals that have an allergy to any of the active ingredients
- Animals that have a torn or broken eardrum
- Cats
Use this medicine carefully in animals:
- That have kidney disease
Warnings for humans
- After the medicine has been placed in your animal’s ear(s), wash your hands if you touch the ear(s).
- Your animal may shake their head after the medicine is put in. This can spray the medicine. Be careful to keep it out of your eyes.
- If the medicine gets into the eyes by accident, rinse the eyes with water for at least 15 minutes. If the eyes stay irritated, contact a doctor.
How do I give this medication?
- The veterinary clinic places this medicine into the affected ear(s).
- Do not clean the ear(s) for 33 days after the medicine is placed.
Side effects
Call your veterinarian if you see any of these signs after the medicine is placed:
- Head shaking
- Throwing up
- Eating less
- Itching
- Acting confused or not oriented
- Head tilt or walking in circles
- Sudden loss of hearing
- Eye pain or eye discharge
How will I know it’s working?
You should notice your animal’s signs slowly getting better within 1 to 2 days.
If your animal’s signs get worse or do not get better, contact your veterinary clinic.
How long will the medication effects last?
This medicine continues to work for 33 days after it is placed.

You will not keep this medicine at home.
